FAQ

When will the DLC drop?
Soon. Rockstar usually pushes updates around 3:30AM EST or 9:30AM UTC. Check this helpful map showing all the timezones.
Does the DLC cost money, how can I get the DLC?
The DLC will be made automatically available through whatever launchestore you have the game on. Those using the Rockstar Launcher can expect to see their games updated first, so be ready for that.
What can we expect?
Judging by Rockstar's announcements and timelines, this DLC won't be massive. They've confirmed new business battles and yacht missions, probably comparable to the previous client jobs we've gotten with the Terrorbyte.
Additionally they've teased some cars, of which we've gotten images of a new supercar, a musclecar and an F-1 car. Some new race modes have been mentioned as well. It's safe to assume that the content will be dripfed in stages, especially the more interesting items might be left for later.
Have the Acura NSX and new Toyota Supra been added?
Some images of the Toyota Supra and Acura NSX being converted at Benny's have been floating around - these are fake and have been put into circulation by a clickbaity asshole who shall not be named.
Are weekly updates on Tuesdays starting now?
Probably not. Rockstar always goes a little off their usual schedule with DLC drops and this is probably the same thing. It's hard to say if the sales will already change this Thursday, but I'd recommend y'all reek the benefits of the sales before you regret it.
What's going to be on sale next? / When will the next sale be up? / What's going to be in the next DLC?
If any Rockstar employees are on this sub, we'll let you know.

Grand Theft Auto VI (My Concept) (Part 1)

Hello people of gta6, this is something I've been working on for a while now, it's my ideal concept for Rockstar Games' future title, Grand Theft Auto VI.
This is a long post however, you have been forewarned.
So, with all that being said, hope you guys enjoy it!
Let's begin with an overview:
Grand Theft Auto VI is the biggest Rockstar title yet, approached with the most advanced systems ever. GTA VI will be released on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC only, with the online mode (more on that in the next part) releasing a month after release. The game itself takes place in 3 key locations (technically 4):
  1. Vice City (Expanded and Enhanced), in the fictional state of Flores (based off Florida)
  2. Carcer City, in the fictional state of Garrison (based off Detroit, Philadelphia, and Chicago)
  3. The People's Republic of Del Castillo (Based off of Cuba and Brazil, respectively)
  4. Liberty City (VERY linear, certain portions of story playable)

Vice City:

Vice City has been greatly expanded, and now includes 2 other key locations based off of Orlando and Tampa: Mamba and Paxville. Paxville is based off of Orlando, and includes 2 different theme parks: Fun-World & AnimalDome (both based off Disney World/Universal Studios and SeaWorld).
Fun-World is a one-stop shop for having the most fun you can have. From fun-rides to the weird candy the man near the entrance sells, players can ride rollercoasters, take pictures with mascots, and do side-missions from the management and employees of Fun-World.
AnimalDome is a bit more based on SeaWorld and appeals to players that want animals in the game, whether in hunting, fishing, or even exploring. A new side-activity you can do is hunt for legendary animals (all across the map) and donate them to AnimalDome for rewards. It ranges from lost fish in lakes and oceans near untouched waterfalls, all the way to rare birds in forests alike.
The landscapes such as the marshlands are similar to Bayou N.W.A from RDR2, with alligators and crocodiles alike in wetlands, with many other secrets to uncover.
One key icon is the Gator Chain, which is based off the real life Florida Keys, 8 islands pulled together by a single highway.
Another key icon is the Green Pastures, which is based off of the real life Everglades, a subtropical wetland in the heart of south Florida, filled with all kinds of natural society.
A new air force base, Fort Kayak, is also included within the state as well.

Carcer City:

The newest addition to the series, Carcer City is supposed to be gloomy and dark, that of rivaling Vice City's vibrant feeling with the lights shining at night. The roads are narrow and sleek, and are very easy to get lost in because of the grid zig-zag layout. At day, you find old factories blowing out dark smoke, with lower class people getting ready to go work in their old crusty cars. The feeling heavily changes at night when you find the darker parts of the city emerged. Get yourself downtown and on rooftops of buildings, you'll find yourself feeling like Batman looking down at all of Gotham City.

The People's Republic of Del Castillo:

This is solely an island based on the likes of Guarma. On one side, you have favelas in a small, compact, linear city with a mini-airstrip for an airport, while it slowly moves onto tropical forests on the other side of the island. Free roaming is fine, but be careful as there are others who are watching you. Be aware at all times no matter what.
As for Liberty City, a small portion is only playable for certain missions only, incredibly linear.

Gameplay:

The gameplay is similar to that of a mix between IV/V (realism and arcadey-ness). The car feeling is similar to IV when crashing and whatnot, but also contains elements of V's driving. Interaction with NPCs is more realistic and grounded. Walk around in a suit and people ask if you have somewhere important to be, walk around in punk clothing and get trash thrown at you. Red Dead Redemption 2's interaction system with NPCs returns with a new change: multiple dialogue options. Say you choose to greet an NPC and ask if they need help with anything. They might say yes and you could be given with two choices: a) "Sure, I'll help out!" or b) "Alright, well, hope it gets done then!".
You can choose the way the characters are. Aside from antagonizing NPCs, you can pave a path for these characters depending on the way you want.
Wanted levels return, as well as the 6th star. Here is the new way the wanted system would react when given stars:
A new gameplay experience that is added is backpacks or duffel bags. This will not be realistic in the sense where it will weigh down your character and slow them down. You can store different things in either one now, whether it be snacks for refilling health, armor, or other materials you can find. You can find collectibles across the map and store them in there.
Another returning feature is the stats: energy, driving, and flying. Energy encompasses the other stats such as stamina, strength, etc. The more energy you can max out, the more stamina and more health you have. Driving and flying are the same as before.

Story:

In terms of story, I think Project Americas' narrative based off of the leaks seem very interesting, and also makes for interesting scenarios gameplay-wise during the smuggling missions. Another feature I 100% want back is heists. They were done amazingly in V with their setups and then finales where you had somewhat of a variety was fun for the replay ability. The same can also be said for the Diamond Casino And Resort Heist and its diverse offerings.
For characters, in terms of playable ones, I would enjoy seeing 2 protagonists this time around, maybe a male and female if possible.
The game could end with 3 endings, one where our characters become enemies, one where they remain neutral (friends), and one where they begin a relationship or something like that.
Other characters could be possibly a funny crooked lawyer (think Saul Goodman), maybe another Phil Cassidy-esque character as well if we're heading back to Vice (IF that is).

Last Topic, Time Period (?):

So, this is the big one. I'm having some trouble picking what time period might fit well for my ideal game.
Normally, I would say the 1980s, but even then some people wouldn't really enjoy it, so I decided to take a look at past games and see where this game might fit well in terms of time period:
  1. GTA lll (2001): 2000s (2001 specifically)
  2. Vice City (2002): 1980s (1986 specifically)
  3. San Andreas (2004): 1990s (1992 specifically)
  4. IV (2008): 2000s (2008 specifically)
  5. V (2013): 2010s (2013 specifically)
  6. Online (2013-2020): 2010s - 2020s (Specifically unknown, speculated 2020)
With this being said, I think one time period that could totally work is the 2000s, but instead of 2008 like IV or 2001, I say mid 2000s: somewhere around 2004 - 2006, with some flashback missions dating back to the 1980s (1984, 1987, or 1989).
Now, the internet as we know it wasn't fully developed like how it is today, but it was still actively rising. Funny internet videos and downloading was the norm during that time. Rockstar, with its satire can actively parody the internet as it did with IV and V.
Instead of using the internet to buy cars, players now actively have to go to dealerships, each with their own specific kind of cars (legendary motorsport with their fancy cars, warstock with heavy vehicles, etc).
Now, for the flashback missions. Thinking realistically, it's almost impossible for Rockstar to create different models and whatnot for two different eras.
Now, what I PERSONALLY can see Rockstar doing, if they do decide to go down the flashback route, I can definitely see them create a VERY linear mission-design for a small portion of the map where a mission takes place, and changing some of the buildings and billboards to fit the era (in this case, the 1980s).
For example, take Vice City for example. There could be a portion of the city where the buildings are abandoned, roads are cracked up, etc. There could be a story mission where it takes place in 1984, in that exact portion of the city, where the roads are freshly paved, and the buildings are lively and booming.
RDR2's jump from 1899 to 1907 is justified, in the sense that most of the map is just environments without as many buildings as GTA.
So yeah, that's about it. Hopefully you guys enjoyed it, I have some more stuff on the way!
If you like to add some new ideas to the existing ones or add on ideas in general, please do so.

Tips for a returning (beginner) player

Hello all! First time posting here, just wanted to gain a little more insight on the now massive world of GTA online.
I've played enough of this game to fully grasp the basics of gameplay, story, and world. I've beaten the campaign multiple times on multiple systems as they've become available to me. Now I play on PC. My confusion arises from the sheer amount of content available to you upon starting a new online character. I've looked up some beginner guides in the past, however I still felt overwhelmed with the consistent calls from new characters, missions becoming available, and no real narrative direction.
With the new heist coming out I have become increasingly interested in rejoining online, but I'm still feeling like I have no place to start.
Currently, I'm a level 32. I have Twitch Prime, so I've cashed in on a million or two through those rewards. I invested my first million in to a small apartment, one nice car (the Entity EF which to my knowledge is among the fastest vanilla cars), and a medium sized warehouse (upon the recommendation of a beginner guide I found). I've done some moderate grinding; just trying to stock up my warehouse, a couple motorcycle club missions, daily spins at the casino etc. However I desperately feel like I'm missing out on the proper way to enjoy this content.
Should I be focusing on a single "business" to make money? (MC, CEO, etc.) Should I just start grinding out heists? Is there any particular order I need to do these heists? Are there any vanilla missions I should/need to do to progress? Is it even worth my time to complete missions for other NPCs? Or should I just grind out the 3x $ and rp playlists? Do I buy a nightclub? A yacht? A penthouse suite? Or am I just totally overthinking the degree of freedom here and I should just play however I feel like playing?
TL;DR I find this game so interesting and boundless but at the same time I feel like I have no direction or goals to achieve. Just looking for some advice or tips anyone is willing to share with a little ol busta like myself.
Any help is greatly appreciated! If you're one to celebrate, have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Mega Guide / Wiki Updates - Mega Guide/Question thread linked inside.

Hey guys! I will be taking over the duties of the MEGA Guide and Wiki from now on. It's time to do some updating! Yay!

A reminder to all the people asking questions NOT in the MEGA-Guide - Please ask the questions in the MEGA Guide.

Click Here For The Actual Mega Guide/Question Thread!

We are looking for dedicated users to help us update the MEGA guide and the Wiki! We need updated Guides for the newest and best ways to make money!

What we're going to need:
  1. Posts that include clear and concise business guides, for example, setup costs, stealing vs buying supplies, supply to stock conversion with and without upgrades, etc. At the moment that information is spread across several posts, and you sometimes have to go down a rabbit hole of links from post to post to get what you need. Also, what are the "must-have" or priority upgrades in businesses?
  2. We could go a step further and include a flow chart of unlocks for popular vehicles, for example for the Mk.II to be fully utilized requires Nightclub > Terrorbyte > Specialised Vehicle Workshop > Mk.II upgrades.
If you feel you can merge two posts together, go for it! Get all the information about a specific subject in one place.
Additionally:
We are looking to slim it down and make it easier for new people to navigate it. Ideas on what to add, delete, and merge together would be helpful as well!

For the Wiki, we need people to take charge of pages dedicated to a specific topic, to clean up old threads, and create new ones where we see fit! Let us know as this is also very important.

If you're interested in helping out the sub please message the moderators and you'll be added to a super-secret chat room to discuss with others who are here to help the sub!
If you have any questions, I or a fellow moderator will take the time to answer all of them - comment below.

GTA V and GTA V Online Timeline

2013

2015
June: Criminals now practically run the city and start purchasing high-end planes and other vehicles.
October: The Lowriders story / Benny's reopens. A surge of highly customised vehicles are seen around the city. Numerous reports of citizens being injured by malfunctioning hydraulics on the cars.
December: More criminals start collaborating to make more money and purchase extravagant yachts which crowd the shores surrounding the island.
2016
Summer: The criminal underworld grows towards white collar crime, with product smuggling. Criminals begin purchasing offices and warehouses to smuggle goods. Biker gangs see a rise in Los Santos as a response to all the white collar crime.
December: Criminals start stealing and exporting high-end vehicles to fences and other criminals for below-market prices. The first experimental weaponized vehicles are seen on the streets of Los Santos.
2017
December: The Doomsday Heist storyline. Los Santos real estate prices drop to an all-time-low due to the crime rates and danger of living in the city. Citizens witness flying cars and jetpack chases across the state. Masses move out, as more criminals come to take advantage of the illegal opportunities. Thanks to contributing to saving the planet, a large amount of criminals have their crimes pardoned and a lot of their ongoing illegal actions ignored.
2018
Summer: Nightclubs start being opened as an attempt for entrepreneurs to make clean business. Crime quickly enters the scene and bunkers for illegal exporting of products start getting built under the nightclubs.
Winter: Arena Wars is opened as an attempt for all criminals to make money in a closed space by fighting to the death. This doesn’t work.
2019
July: The new Diamond Casino Resort opened giving interest to everybody in Los Santos including criminals. (This is when the Diamond Casino missions happen)
December: Criminals begin taking advantage of the Casino's success, and rob it, a lot. A wave of retro arcades are opened as a front for the heist planning
2020
Winter: Construction once again begins at The Diamond Casino and Resort after a rough year of crime, but workers are under strict NDA - to the point even investors and stakeholders don't know what is going on. Unrecognised bodies wash up on the southern shores of Los Santos, and the FIB link them to an ongoing investigation - Noting them in their "El Rubio Dossier"

Red Dead Online: It Just Needs More

So I've been thinking a lot about the substance of Red Dead Online, and I've come to the quick conclusion that, there really is no substance. There's a lot of wide open space in terms of the map as well as wide open space in terms of the roles that you can be a part of, but more so the Bounty Hunter role which has a lot of potential to it. I've even been thinking about something that would be pretty dope for the Story Mode. Here are just a few of my ideas
GTA Online is simply getting way too much attention. I totally understand that GTA is Rockstar's biggest, most well known game and because of this, more work would be put into it. At the same time, that really shouldn't be the case. With all of the aspects that GTA Online has, it can honestly be left alone for at least a few months to 1 year and it would be still stand. In the case of Red Dead Online, it wouldn't last that long. What we have now in Red Dead Online is too open and repetitive. It's never good to have a great game with wide open space with little to nothing to do and having it where PVP is actually carrying the game on it's back. Rockstar needs to truly stop babying GTA Online and focus way more on Red Dead Online.
If anyone has anything else to add that they would like to see, feel free to out it in the comments.
I also hope that Rockstar sees this post and seriously thinks about these ideas cause they are pretty legit ideas that will give Red Dead Online more play time. Would be dope if everyone who agrees with this post, helps with making those at Rockstar see this. We're all lovers of this game and it would be great if these things come to development.

Thoughts and musings

About a month ago, my friend wanted to play GTA online. He's a trophy hunter, and there's a bunch of online trophies, so it made sense,I tagged along because why not. Also, back when I played it in 2013, online sucked, it was soulless and all I wanted was to do heists with my friends but that wasn't a thing yet.
Fast forward to 2020, we're rediscovering GTA online together. The Enterprise starter pack is great, gives us a few useful freebies such as a good car, a CEO office, a bunker, and some MC business starter. And there was a cool promo where we get an $8M shark card attached, for essentially free, yay. So we're enjoying, doing heists, enjoying the casino, discovering the griefegrinder dichotomy, and trying things out.
The heists are by FAR the highlight of the game, they're fun, they're interesting, and the rewards are good (at least for doomsday and casino, inflation has not been kind to the first heists). We mostly stay away from PVP because fuck that, but with the weekly 2x/3x rewards, we dip our toes sometimes (e.g. hunting pack remix I is fun). So we're mostly grinding heists and getting some passive income via nightclub warehouse, some bunker work, and I personally enjoy the vehicle warehouse (the game IS called GTA).
Yesterday, after doing doing the casino heist 4 times together back to back, I bought a yacht, since it's 50% off this week. It is utterly useless and pointless, and I absolutely don't need it. But it makes me happy, when I'm on it I get an odd feeling of bliss, even though it is absolutely and utterly useless. I love it, this is why I played.
I'm sure it's all downhill from here, we've done the first 4 heists once each, the doomsday heist 4 or 5 times, and the casino heist more times than I care to remember. The casino heist will eventually become boring and/or we won't need the money AT ALL anymore so we'll stop, and GTAO will have run its course for us until whenever they release the next big update. It was a fun ride, it would have been nice with less griefers but whatever, it's part of the game at this point, and the solo public session tricks are easy to apply. The game is designed to mostly be a grindfest and we've experienced that grind. It's ok, but we're definitely moving on in the foreseeable future (a few weeks? A month or 2?), probably with tens of millions sitting in our bank accounts for whenever we decide to drop by again.
The game is overwhelming at first, especially when you get blown to bits 10 times in a row for no reason. To any new player not focused on PVP, I strongly suggest to learn how to create a public solo session, and take your time learning what the game has to offer, there is a lot, and probably something or other that you'll enjoy. For me it was heists, but I even find some car theft (vehicle warehouse) and bunker resupply missions fun as well. It is definitely not perfect, there are technical issues and bugs all over the place, the loading times are atrocious, and the user interface is one of the clunkiest I've seen in a video game. But it's still very enjoyable, and you can have a blast without worrying about any of that. I sure did, and am still am. For now.
Thanks for reading.

R* Games HINTING at GTA 6 in GTA Online & RDR2 CODE

R* Games HINTING at GTA 6 in GTA Online & RDR2 CODE
I have three very solid claims with evidence and one far fetched claim that show that Rockstar Games has been teasing us with GTA 6 and all but indirectly confirming Project Americas to be real. To understand this, we will actually take a look back at what Rockstar did with Max Payne 3 (2012) a game that released one year before GTA 5.
GTA 6 CODE in GTA 5 & RDR2 - Recently TezFunz2 a very renown leaker tweeted that code alluding to "Project Americas" was found in the RDR2 game files and the name changed. This doesn't confirm anything, but it is interesting to note that R* featured this codename in RDR2 and changed it. R* ALSO did this in Max Payne 3, where in the games files was a full blown GTA 5 vehicle list that turned out to be REAL.
https://preview.redd.it/n4m5twyl03341.png?width=598&format=png&auto=webp&s=aebb1694e7ad812c0f7937f748f34a2a90d69acb

https://preview.redd.it/41xzt4vu03341.png?width=1577&format=png&auto=webp&s=f62c97fafcf18371ce1b70e2db86c30c2a8ed6d1
GTA 6 Cars in GTA Online - In September 2019, GTA Forums user Benefactor69 presented a very credible theory that since March 2017, R* has upped the quality of vehicle details in GTA Online. Alongside this, the percentage of classic cars in GTA Online has increased. This would coincide with the Project Americas leak which is "allegedly" going to take place in the past. It is a very long, interesting read.BUT it doesn't stop there. So up until GTA 5/Online, R* has never had a LIVE resource to test out things like vehicles and such. So essentially, if Benefactor69 theory holds up, then we are basically beta testing GTA 6 cars in GTA Online, haha.
Anyways, before GTA Online. R* has done something like this before. In 2006, R* released Table Tennis. Originally Table Tennis was NEVER meant to be released. It was simply a tech demo to test out the new Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE). This is the engine that powers GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption, and GTA 5. Table Tennis allowed R* to fine tune the engine and the game ended up being released. This is FACT.
This is THEORY but if we take a look at GTA 5 and what R* did with North Yankton, I theorize that with the two, short North Yankton missions in GTA 5, that this allowed R* to experiment with snow and expand on that in RDR2. The same can be said for GUARMA in RDR2. GUARMA is only accessible in Chapter 5. Why would R* spend so much time and detail creating an environment limited to one chapter? Could this be foreshadowing GTA 6 Project Americas and the fact that it would feature a South American location where jungles would be prevalent? Especially if drug running will be apart of the game and the real life history of this taking place in the South American jungles? Also with GUARMA, that could be R* testing out creating jungle environments for the Project Americas.
Hinting in GTA Online DLC - This is the only claim I have that is more theory and far-fetched than anything, however I think it's interesting to note. With the release of the Doomsday Heist, on one of the facility computers there is a world map with circles. This probably means nothing but one of the circles encompasses Southern Florida, Cuba, and the northern part of South America. This is obviously where GTA 6 would take place according to Project Americas. I know that India is circled and that means nothing. But it's interesting that those three locations are highlighted. Just a few days ago, R* also released the Casino Heist teaser and in this 12 second clip, a globe is shown but only shows South America. I know this is reaching, but again, it could just be R* leaving subliminal hints. As they are renown for this going back to GTA 3 for instance with the billboard that says "See You in Miami." and one year later, GTA Vice City released taking place in the fictional version of Miami.
https://preview.redd.it/w8u4kj2o03341.png?width=1890&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b176dcd65daebd461a340dc70b65bfbfadc03ee

Bogota - I discussed this in my post about Project Americas the other day. But it's interesting to still bring up that in December 2003, Take 2 Interactive registered numerous GTA trademarks. One of this is "GTA Bogota." Bogota being a city in Columbia which is notorious for it's history of drug running, the Medellin Cartel, and so much more in the 1970s-1980s lines up perfectly with the Project Americas leak. One thing that is also interesting to note, is that R* features the location of Bogota on their Twitter and website and have for YEARS. Now this probably means nothing as Paris is listed as well. But R* doesn't have a Bogota office or anything in that location and NEVER has. There are GTAForum posts dating back to 2010 discussing this. But why would R* feature this location on their social medias? Could be nothing, could be typical R* making jokes, who knows.

Diamond Casino Heist Ultimate Guide

Diamond Casino Heist Ultimate Guide

Hello everybody!

The new Casino Heist has been out for over 2 weeks now and there is probably already plenty of guides about it on YT, but I've wanted to make my own guide for a while now and finally think that I have enough experience to make one. I have played the Casino Heist about 30 times now (lost count at 10) and played all the 3 different approaches with a friend, so anything I say about the finale in this guide will be doable with just 2 guys, unless I specifically say so.
Keep in mind this is not a completely flawless guide, I will keep improving and editing it whenever I learn something new. I hope this guide can help you fly through the Preps and have no problems doing the Finale.

1: The Basics
2: Vault contents
3: Approaches
4: Crew
5: General Prep Work
6: Approach specific prep
  1. Silent approach
  2. Big Con approach
  3. Aggressive approach
7: Silent Finale
8: Big Con Finale
9: Aggressive Finale
10: Tips and tricks

1: The Basics

  • First of all, do the Preps in a solo public lobby. Theres no reason not to do them in a solo public lobby since others can only affect your experience in a bad way, unlike selling MC stock where you will get a bonus for every player in the lobby. (Guide for making solo public lobbies here)
  • Of course you can do the prep missions with a friend, that way you can avoid having to go to a certain place twice in some prep missions, but it's not neccesary. If you and a friend both do your prep missions simultaneously, you will be able to do 2 Finales in 2 hours if you are experienced in doing the missions. If you don't have any friends to do the preps with, don't worry, they're all doable completely alone and shouldn't be a problem to a decent player.
  • Now for Arcade locations. Of course I have to talk about Pixel Pete's in Paleto Bay. If you plan on doing the Casino Heist multiple times for a good income of large amounts of money, invest the cash from your first couple of runs from Paleto Bay into a proper arcade. I own the Videogeddon arcade in La mesa (~1,8 million), which is the cheapest in LS, but imo the 8-bit arcade (~2,6 million) is the best since its basically on the same road as the Casino and its garage is way more accesible than the La Mesa one since over there you have to drive around to the back to get into the Garage (Always enter your arcade through the garage entrance, it saves a lot of time compared to going through the front door, into the management office and through the secret tunnel) Either way they are both viable choices, but you should forget about the other ones in LS.
  • Vehicle choice. Obviously the Oppressor Mk II is your best friend for most of the prep missions, but there are plenty other viable alternatives. The Buzzard can be spawned in directly in front of you via CEO vehicles (if you own one it's free, otherwise it costs 25k per spawn) The issue with the Buzzard is its armor. After taking a couple shots, and trust me, you will, your Buzzard will start to smoke and will then stop working within ~5 minutes. The Akula is another very viable choice, especially when looking at the fact that you will have to lose the cops a lot (the memes are true). It also has fast firing homing rockets (don't use the rocket barrage, it's useless for grinding purposes) which will also help (it has infinite (?) rockets so running out of them won't be an issue, unlike the Oppressor, which only has 20) The Hydra is another hidden gem for the prep missions, if you can fly it well that is. Keep in mind that when using bulky vehicles like Helicopters or jets, the La Mesa arcade will be even worse since you have to land on the road and walk around the back of the arcade, whilst with the oppressor you can just fly straight into the back alley.
  • Hard finales. After doing a certain approach, that approach will be locked for the next heist. After doing another heist with a different approach, the approach first used will become available again with a red skull signalizing it will be on hard. Choose your 2 favourite approaches (information about the approaches below) and do them back to back, as playing the heist on hard will of course result in the loot being worth more. Don't worry about the heist being to difficult on hard, the only differences for the 2 sneaky approaches is the amount of fingerprints during hacks and for the loud approach the improved armor will be more than enough to make the heisdt a cakewalk.
  • I recommend purchasing the keypad at the prep board and training your fingerprint hacking skills on there. Trust me, you'll want to be fast when it comes to hacking the keypads. I get the hacks done in about 15 seconds and that is usually fast enough to get all the loot I want.

2: Vault contents

Alright, now for the interesting part, the vault contents. You probably know by now that Cash is the worst option. The best option in terms of money is Gold, while artwork takes significantly less time to loot. If you plan on doing the heist as a 2-man team, aim for artwork, if you are more than 2, go for gold. Forget about Cash.
So how do you influence what loot the vault contains? When doing the scoping out the vault mission, you will be able to see what the vault contains. If it's what you want, then good for you, you may leave the casino and move on to selecting the approach and crew. If however the vault contains cash or whatever loot you don't want, you can "change" the vault contents like this:
  1. Leave the camera
  2. Call Lester WHILST STILL IN THE CASINO
  3. Cancel the Casino Heist
  4. Leave the Casino and go back to your arcade
  5. Pay another 25k to start the heist again
The vault content will already be revealed. If it however still contains the unwanted loot, leave your arcade, call Lester to cancel the heist again, re-enter your arcade, start the heist for 25k again. You will then have to do the vault content mission again and if it still isn't the wanted loot, you may repeat the tactic above.
Don't worry about the 25k that you'll pay each time you restart the heist, good compared to artwork is worth about 200k more so you will have plenty of chances before losing money.
The following describes a controversial glitch that may be used to gain more loot than you're meant to, if you don't want to do this glitch, then you don't have to, but some people will obviously want to do this.
For the glitch, you need the vault to contain Gold. I would usually write this in the finale section but this may influence your decision on what loot to pick so I see this as a more fitting place to write it.
When inside the vault, the gold will be stored on several carts across the vault.
  1. Go up to one and press E to start collecting the gold.
  2. Collect every bar but stop at the last one
  3. Press right click to stop the looting whilst there is still loot on the cart
  4. Wait 2-3 seconds infront of the cart
  5. Press E to start looting again
Voila, the cart will be full with gold again and you may now collect all the bars. This can only be done once for each cart, so after "filling up the cart" once you can collect all the loot off of it without losing anything. This way you can get up to ~3,7 million worth of gold. You will be able to collect more but the rest won't be added to your total, so you might aswell stop at that amount and leave the vault.

3: Different Approaches

1: Silent and sneaky
This approach involves you sneakily going into the casino with silenced weapons, sneaking your way to the vault and then getting out undetected again. I recommend playing this with people that are willing to communicate. I'm not saying you shouldn't pick this if you have to play with randoms, just make sure they are capable of cooperating before you start the heist.
The pros of this approach are that you will have ~3:25 minutes inside the vault and that you wont get shot (hopefully) so you wont lose any loot. This approach also lets you casually empty out the secondary vault opened via the security center (more about that in the finale section)
The obvious cons are that you need to have teammates capable of cooperating so they wont rush in, alert the guards and make you lose your sanity. The detection system is also very inconsistent and things that you might think wont alert the guards will turn out to do so, sometimes.
For this approach I recommend getting the artwork loot if you are just 2 players and gold (w/o glitch) if you are more than 2
The prep missions that may be skipped for this approach are:
  1. Power drills, since the lockboxes inside the vault don't pay that much and it takes time to drill them open that can be used to loot the main contents
2: Big Con
You enter the casino in disguise and get out in disguise, making you lose no loot from being shot like in the silent approach.
First of all, USE THE GRUPPE SECHS UNIFORMS. For the gruppe sechs uniforms to becaome available, you have to photograph the security tunnel of the casino (see image below) By using the gruppe sechs outfit, you can walk straight into the vault without needing to kill anyone.

Service tunnel location
This is in my opinion the best approach since you can easily stay undetected the whole time and it leaves very little chance of failure by stupidity and gives you the full 3:25 minutes inside the vault for looting.
Recommended loot is once again Artwork for 2 people, Gold for 3-4 people.
The prep missions that may be skipped are:
  1. Patrol Routes. You will only have to kill a maximum of 2 guards and they will be near enough to pop up on your radar anyway
  2. Duggan shipments. You will kill the 2 security guards with melee since your weapons don't have stabilizers and their armor doesn't save them from melee attacks.
  3. Power drills, again, since the effort of drilling the lockboxes is not worth it most of the time
3: Aggressive
The most barebones approach involves you shooting your way through the casino and blowing the vault open. This is the easiest approach to do with randoms and can even be done with level 10s who just got their first million.
I recommend photographing the sewer entrance to shorten the way that you have to fight your way through (see image below)

Sewer location
The recommended loot is always artwork since you won't have as mcuh time in the vualt, so the faster you get all the loot the better.
The prep missions that may be skipped for this approach are:
  1. Power drills, obviously since you have less time inside the vault.

4: Crew

Crew choice, seems like a hard decision, really isn't. You basically want to pick the cheapest crewmembers who give you the best hardware.
1: Gunman
Karl Abolaji. For every approach. This might seems like a stupid decision seeing as he only gives you a sawed-off shotgun or heavy revolver for the loud approach, but you will actually get an SMG aswell, which is very usuable for the loud approach. If you don't feel comfortable with just an SMG, Pick either Patrick McReary or Gustavo Mota. Packie will of course be very hard to unlock (Guide to unlocking Packie here) but he will give you a combat MG for only 8% of the cut, whilst Gustavo Mota will give you a Carbine OR Assault shotgun (with the SMG) for 9%
For Silent and Big Con, Karl will give you Micro-MPs, which are more than capable of doing their job, that being killing guards in the silent approach. For Big Con, you could actually play completely without weapons since you only need to melee 2 guards.
2: Driver
Probably the least important crewmember. Some people don't even use the getaway cars provided. So of course, pick Karim Denz. He will be able to source oyu the Sentinel Classic, which is a more than capable Car for getting to the needed places (more information about getaway in the finale section) for the smallest cut.
Of course you may choose other drivers if you want to unlock the trade price for any of the vehicles.
3: Hacker
The most important crewman. Really the only viable choice is Avi Schwartzman, who can be unlocked by destroying the 50 signal jammers spread around San Andreas (Guide for 50 jammers here) He will give you the most time in the vault (Paige is an "expert" hacker aswell but she will give you ~15 seconds less inside the vault) Don't even think about all the other hackers, the hacker is no place to cheap out.

Ideal crew layout

5: General Prep Work

Alright, in this section I'll go over all the prep missions and give some tips and hints on what to do and what not to do and what vehicles work best. First of all, don't buy any of these preps for 70k, they're all somewhat easy to do and shouldn't be a problem for a solo player.
1: Untraceable weapons
This mission is be annoying but also easy. There are lumtiple types of this mission, and whilst none of them are a true challenge, they can be annoying to do since you have to either fly/drive a slow vehicle or collect 2 crates.
  • Noose Vans: There will be 4 Noose vans around the map and you have to blow the back door off to check for the weapons. You cannot lock onto the vans with homing missiles, so you either have to have good aim or use stickybombs in a ground vehicle. After finding the right one, you have to take it back to your arcade, after losing a wanted level. The annoying thing is, you cannot call Lester to lose that wanted level and the Van is very slow, I recommend driving through a tunnel where the cops cannot go to lose them.
  • I/E crew: You have to fly to the shore and find A couple of guys exporting the weapons, just blow them up or murder them any way, get in the Tula and fly to Sandy Shores airfield. When taking off in the Tula, switch to VTOL mode and gain some forward speed and altitude before switching to normal flying.
  • Lost MC/Vagos: You have to go to the clubhouse of the Vagos or Lost, clear the hostiles, find the weapons inside the clubhouse and bring them to your arcade. You will probably die the first couple times you try this mission, but you'll get the hang of it eventually. If you get the Lost MC mission and you have an arcade in LS, I recommend just finding a new session if you're alone since flying to Paleto Bay twice can be very time consuming.

A weapons case inside the Lost MC clubhouse
2: Getaway cars
This mission is somewhat easy for all types, but of course it's much faster done with a friend since you will have to get 2 cars most of the time.
  • Police warehouse: You have to go to a vehicle warehouse of the police and get the 2 cars out of there, don't worry about the sounds of the engines when in the warehouse, the cops inside seem to be deaf. When driving outside, be careful not to alert the cops standing outside or you'll have to lose your wanted level first.
  • Valet: You go to a hotel, scare away some valets, dress up as one and wait for the cars to arrive. Nothing much can go wrong here. The only things you shouldn't do is shoot or knock out the valets and bump into somebody infront of the hotel. Just simply bring the cars to your arcade and you're done.
  • I/E crew: You have to take the cars off a crew who just imported them. Just go to the location, kill the goons and take the cars. Watch out however, the enemies have extremely good aim and even a single enemy can kill you in a couple of seconds. Just use your homing rockets (don't worry, the getaway cars can't be blown up) to kill them, get the cars and bring them to your arcade.
3: Hacking Device
Seems like a simple mission, and it is. There are only two types of this mission, and they are both somewhat easy.
  • FIB: Collect a security pass off an FIB agent by brutally slaughtering him and his fellows, go to the FIB office, find the briefcase with the hacking devise, get out, lose the cops and bring it to your arcade. When killing the FIB agent, an exploded vehicle may block the agent's corpse. Just get another car to push anything away. There is also a bug where the corpse will either always be considered as blocked or ont even appear, if that happens you have to find a new session and restart the mission.
  • Noose: The early part is pretty similar to the FIB type, you collect a keycard off of an agent, enter the Noose building and use your phone to find the hacking device. When you get out of the Noose building, the alarm will always automatically go off, just fly away with your OppressoAkula etc. and lose the cops before bringing the hack device to your arcade. You can also assassinate the agent silently when collecting the keycard by approaching him, waiting for him to go away from the other 2 agents and then bopping him in the head with a gun, but form my experience its faster to just blow him up since you'll most likely lose the cops on the way to the Noose building anyway.

The briefcase you're looking for
4: Vault Keycards
This one has 2 mission types. In one you just go to two guards who have the keycards, eliminate them silently by smacking them in the head with a weapon and then looting their keycards.
The other mission is a bit more complicated. It involves you getting a prison bus and entering the bolingbroke prison in that disguise tho then silently murder a guard there who has the keycards. You actually don't have to collect or even blow up the bus, you can fly straight to the prison, kill the guard and get the keycard. Keep in mind thatr you wil get 4 stars doing it this way and there are snipers on the 2 adjacent towers to where the keycard guard is, so you'll wnat to kill those first before looting the guard.
The recommended vehicle is the Oppressor Mk II just to get around faster, but the Akula is a very viable choice aswell to lose the cops more easily after flying to the prison.
5: Guard Patrols
Pretty straight-forward mission. You go to a Duggan security meeting, kill all the guards, find the correct car, photograph the plan and then get out.
This mission can be done stealthy, but it's basically impossible, you're better off juzst shooting them straight away.
The correct car will always be a Felon GT and there will always be 3 of them in the same positions, so you get the hang of where to go after doing it a couple of times.
Once again the Oppressor and Akula are your go-to vehicles for this mission, but DO NOT use the rockets to blow up the guards, the chance of accidentaly blowing up the car with the plans is not worth the risk, and I suggest you also dont use a Minigun since that can also bvlow up the car pretty quick.
6: Duggan Shipments
This is the most stressful prep. You need to destroy 10 of Duggans shipments in 10 minutes to weaken the guards inside the casino. The easiest way to do them is with any chopper with rockets (Akula, Hunter, Savage etc.) or the Oppressor Mk II (you may need to fly an optimal route so you have enough time to destroy all of them.
It is actually no neccesary to destroy all of them, for the silent approach destroying 2-4 is sufficient to make the guards not have helmets (you don't want to bodyshot them anyway, that might make them sound the alarm) but for the loud approach, it's best to destroy all 10 of them so that the guards only have Pistols and Micro SMGs.
If you fail to destroy all 10 in time, you can quickly leave the session before the time runs out and retry the mission.
7: Security Intel
This prep is unlocked after completing the 6 Casino missions unlocked by buying a Casino Penthouse. It can only be done once, so you won't have to replay it every heist.
The mission is simple, you go to a mall, meet Vincent, get the stolen car back for him (use a vehicle with drive-by weapons, helicopters and the Oppressor aren't good for this mission) and done, you can now see all the cameras inside the casino.
8: Power Drills
This mission also has 2 types, but the van one is much rarer. The common one involves going to a construction site and getting 2 power drills.
When you get to the cunstruction site, there will be a white icon on the map. Go there and equip the helmet (your character may remove the helmet shortly after equipping it but the disguise will still work) then just go and check the boxes for the power drills
YOU CAN CARRY BOTH DRILLS AT ONCE! That way you don't have to fly all the way to your arcade and back to collect the other drill.
The second type involves stealing a van with the drills inside and taking ti to your arcade. Simply use a vehicle with drive-by weapons (Once again no chopper or Oppressor), kill the driver AND passenger (he will get on the driver seat after the driver dies), collect the van and take it to your arcade.
9: Security Pass
First of all, ALWAYS get the level 2 security pass (the one showing a valet and croupier on the mission picture) The level 1 pass will only get you through the outside doors whilst the level 2 pass will open all doors except the level 3 ones inside the vault.
Once again, two types of this mission may occur. The first involves you stealing a hearse from a church parking lot. You will then have to lose a 2-star wanted level and drive to a hospital where you then have to find the corpse of a valet and get his security pass. When entering the hospital, your character may automatically have a weapon drawn, so pay attention to that before running through to the corpse.
The other type has you going to the party of a croupier, waiting until lester found the right guy and then take the security pass off him. When you get to the party, there will be a pavillon with people dancing, just go there and start dancing until lester has found the right guy. When you then search the croupier for the pass and it's not on him, just search for a small purple keycard (it can be somewhat hard to find but it will always be in the same locations) and collect it.
As for vehicles, anything goes. The Oppressor will probably get you where you want to go the fastest.

The pavillon that you can dance under

6: Approach Specific Preps

Silent approach:
1: Drones
You have to destroy 5 drones spread around LS and collect their parts. Pretty simple mission, use something with rockets (Oppressor will have better rockets than Helicopters) and blow up the drones. You can of course carry all 5 drone parts at once.
It can be tricky to lock on to the drones as you will also lock onto the cops if you have a wanted level, just swap from non-homing to homing rockets if you locked onto the wrong target.
2: Laser drills
This can be a difficult mission. You will either have to take the two drills off the military, which may be hard since they are very accurate and theres a lot of them, but you can use you Oppressor or Akula rockets without worrying about blowing up the drills, just be sure to stay far enough away, their aim is surprisingly good. Be careful when collecting the first laser drill, if the cops kill you your Oppressor may be impounded and you have to use a different one.
The second type will be to take the drills from a bunch of Cliffford soldiers (apparently they're still around) which is way harder than the military since the cliffford soldiers are EXTREMELY accurate and there will even be a juggernaut and snipers. I don't recommend using the Oppressor for this as you are very vulnerable when standing still, go with an Akula instead. Just kill all the soldiers, enter the warehouse, kill some more soldiers, take the drills and get to oyur arcade.
3: EMP
Another pretty easy and simple mission, you will have to collect a cargobob (with an extra long cable) from the airport, fly to the LS University and steal their EMP. Then just fly to the drop-off, lose a 3-star wanted level by evading the helicopters and drop off the EMP.
Some people skip this mission and the next one, but I use the EMP during the finale to casually do the last hard part so theres no risk of screwing anything up. If you are however coordinated enough to not need the EMP, then you may skip this and the next prep
4: Stealth Uniforms
I highly recommend paying for this mission, it can be very annoying and you get the 70k back from the finale anyway.
This mission involves you going to humane labs and assasinating guards silently (very similar to the infamous deliver EMP mission) and getting the uniforms from the garage where you would park the insurgent in the Humane Labs Heist. This mission can be done quickly if you have a buddy, if you don't, it's better to just skip it and pay the 70k (If you don't plan on using the EMP you don't need to do this mission anyway, it's only for the night-vision equipment)
Big Con approach:
For this one, I'll only talk about the group sechs uniforms, since this is the easiest method of doing the Casino Heist by far. If you want to use a different uniform to unlock it, go ahead, but do be warned that it will be significantly harder to fully stealth.
1: Group Sechs, part 1:
Simple mission, go to a mechanics repair shop, kill the mechanic after realizing the Stockade is locked, get the keys and drive away. You will get a wanted level, but you can call Lester to easily lose them.
2: Group Sechs, part 2:
A bit harder, but still pretty easy. This mission is similar to the Patrol routes mission, you have to go to a group sechs meeting, kill everyone (this can also be done stealthy, but its again almost impossible), photograph the license plate of the black stockade, send it to Lester and then get the equipment and bring it to your arcade. Again as with the Patrol routes mission, do not use explosives to kill the guards as you might accidentaly blow up the equipment. You can call Lester to get rid off your wanted level.
3: Vault drills
Yet another simple mission with two types
  • Fleeca: A crew of bankrobbers will be robbing a Fleeca-bank with the needed drills. Go there, kill em, get their drill, lose the cops, bring the drills to your arcade. Pretty simple, but you cant call Lester, so using an Oppressor or Akula is beneficial.
  • Heist crew: A bunch of heisting dudes are being arrested by the police. Go there, kill em, get their drills, lose the cops, bring the drills to oyur arcade. Pretty simple, but you can't call Lester, so using an Oppressor or Akula is beneficial....hm, I'm having quite the Déjà vu.
4: Escape Outfits (Noose)
I'm choosing Noose outfits because they look better (and I'm sure they are in some way better than the Firefighter uniforms, I just don't know how, you seem to get spotted in the Noose uniforms aswell)
Simple (yet somewhat difficult) mission. Go to the mission row police station, kill all the cops there, find the Noose equipment, loose the cops and bring them back to your arcade. You can't call Lester to lose the cops so an Akula would be helpful. When collecting the second uniforms doing it solo, you will once again get 4 stars, so be ready to evade the cops again. Also, when you die at the police station, the cops will most likely impound your vehicle, so a careful approach would be better.
Aggressive approach
1: Thermal explosives
Loud has some pretty annoying mission, this being the first one. Once again, there are 2 types of this mission
  • You have to go to some rednecks and get the explsovies off of them. Just kill them all (once again no need to worry about blowing anything importnat up) and collect the boxes. They have a pretty big pickup distance so collecting them in a Helicopter should be no problem
  • SecuroServ Warehouse: Go to a warehouse, kill some people outside, kill some people inside, find the explosives, bring them to your arcade, no cops, pretty easy.
2: Vault explosives
This may be the most annoying mission of the entire heist. You have to go to a crash site of a plane, dive to the wreck and collect the explsovies. If you own one, put on a diving suit BEFORE starting the mision, you can't access the outfits during the mission.
When arriving at the crash site, you can dive straight to the plane if you have a scuba suit equipped, that saves you the killing and you won't get shot at instantly. Otherwise you have to kill some goons and equip a scuba suit nearby marked on your radar. When you collect the explosives, 3 helicopters will spawn. When you get out of the water, kill the gunners inside the helicopters, not the pilots. The helicopters would respawn and by only killing the gunners they will just follow you without shooting you.
3: Improved armor
You'll probably want to buy this prep, since this mission can also be very annoying. Two types of this mission, both are very unpleasant.
  • Humane Labs: Go to the beach at humane labs, get into a scuba suit, dive through the cooling tunnel into the facility, find the armor and bring it to your arcade. This mission may not be that hard, but the long swim and indoor fighting stretch out the mission and it quickly becomes repetetive and boring. There will atleast be a buzzard when you get out of the facility.
  • Merryweather bunker: Enter a bunker, kill the merryweather goons, find the armor and bring it to the arcade. Simple mission on paper, but the enemies will probably kill you atleast once and the armor sometimes can be tricky to find, I once spent 15 minutes searching the armor.
4: Drill
Simple mission and only needed if you plan on entering the casino through the sewers. Just go collect a truck with the drill loaded onto it, drive it through the water channel and into the sewers. The time you save by going into the casino through the sewers is probably negated by the time it takes for this mission, but having a more relaxed finale is certainly worth doing one more short prep mission.

7: Silent Finale

Alright, it's finally time for the big moneys, the finale. For this approach, you'll want to go in through either the garbage disposal or personnel room and go out through the personnel room. ALWAYS choose the high end buyer, he will give you the most money.
The finale starts very simple, you drive to the casino and enter through the door you chose. Careful, there will be a camera that you need to zap using your stun gun. When inside, there will be metal detectors that you need to disable by shooting the current box with the stun gun. Sometimes there will be guards watching the metal detectors, in that case you need to take them out before you go through.
When taking out guards, it's better for player guy to kill 2 guards facing eachother, as internet issues may cause in the alarm being raised even if the guards are killed simultaneously. You have more than enough time between shooting the first guard and the second guard raising the alarm that it shouldn't be a problem, just make sure your teammates stay back and don't interfere with the player killing the guards.
After clearing the first area (see picture below), you enter the security room through one of four doors (most of the time 2 of them are locked, can be seen by a red display on the keypad instead of the blue diamond) and then wait for the guard in the hallway to move out of the cameras sightline (Do not worry about the glass at the security room, for some reason guards can't see through it. The y can however see through the glass of the doors) Then you follow him (watch out for the camera) and shoot him in the head. Feel free to then clear the secondary vault by one play opening it for another player to loot (theres another button to open the vault inside, the player pressing the button only has to let him in) and then USE THE STAIRS to get to the vault floor.
When going down the stairs, a guard will walk up the stairs, shoot him in the head, disable the camera in the stairway and make your way all the way down.

Getting to the stairs undetected
On the vault floor, go out of the stairway and take out the 2 guards to the left. Then set off your EMP (this will also obviously disable the cameras) by having the host open their phone and using the securoserv-hack. The lights will then go out and you can rush into the main lobby and take out the 4 guards there. You can ignore the last guard inside the security room, just go to the keypads, swipe both at once and enter the mantrap.

Getting to the mantrap undetected
When at the vault door, 2 guys get out their laser drills and start drilling. The drilling is very simple, you just keep the drill as hot as possible whilst not overheating it. When inside the vault, take as much loot as you can but make sure to leave the vault before the time runs out (I recommend stopping the looting with 20-25 seconds remaining to ensure you have enough time to get out).
When getting back into the vault lobby, there will be 2 guards walking past the stairway, you can ignore those, just use the stairs to go up again (and don't forget to disable the camera in the stairway)
When back in the main floor, follow the route shown in the picture below whilst taking out any guards in the way (2 will be in the security room, you can ignore those) and leave the casino through the personnel door. Don't worry about the metal detectors whilst going out, they dont seem to alert the guards.

Getting out of the Casino undetected
When outside, again follow the route shown on the picture below to get to the getaway cars (locations may vary with different drivers) and drive into the sewers. Then spend some time in the sewers by either waiting or driving to another exit (I personally like to drive to the exit right at the highway so that the drive to the buyer is as fast as possible) Make sure not to drive too close to the Casino, as that will get you 5 wanted stars. I recommend avoiding the freeway next to the casino, you may however use the road to the north-west of the freeway.

Escape route with getaway car locations in pink (when choosing the 5% driver)
Then just casually drive to the buyer after you've lost the cops and there you go, fat loot.

8: Big Con Finale

This is the easiest finale by far. Choose the group Sechs entry uniform, noose escape uniform, the personnel rooms as the exit and of course the high end buyer.
Take the Group Sechs truck to the Casino and through the service tunnel, wait until the guard lets you through, park it on the yellow marker and use the elevator or stairs to get to the vault floor.
On the vault floor, just run to the keypads for the mantrap. The guards don't care if you're running or even jumping, just don't bump into anybody and don't draw your weapons.
The just casually loot the vault and again, make sure to get out before the time runs out (stop looting with about 25 seconds left to have enough time to get out safely.
Then just walk through the mantrap and the vault lobby again but USE THE STAIRS to get to the main floor (the camera will not raise the alarm, don't worry about it). Make sure you are all past the camera before going to the main floor, as anyone who didn't go past the camera will get detected due to the guards being alerted and a wanted level appearing. When at the main floor, use the route in the picture below to get to the Noose outfits and switch into them to walk past the last few guards without any problem.

Getting out of the Casino with the Noose uniforms
When outside, follow the same route as in the silent approach to get to the getaway cars. Drive into the sewers, lose the cops in there and then again casually drive to the buyer whilst avoiding driving to close to the casino.

Getting to the getaway cars and into the sewers undetected

9: Aggresive Finale

There really isn't any major explanation needed for this approach, as you won't have to worry about getting detected.
If you chose to enter through the sewers, drive there, enter the tunnel that was dug with the giant drill and plant explosives at the wall to gain entrance to the vault floor directly.
Then just shoot your way to the mantrap keypads and have the others protect the people opening the mantrap if you are playing with 3 or 4 players.
When looting the vault, you won't have to worry about getting out in time, and the nerve agent does very little damage, so don't be scared to take longer than the timer says.
Whilst shooting your way out of the casino, you may use either the elevator or the stairs to get to the main floor. Going through the security room allows you to evade any guards that may be in the south corridor.
When you get out of the casino, you may follow the same route as in the undetected approaches or run directly to the getaway vehicles, although you will probably get shot more doing that and therefor loose more money.
Get to your cars, drive into the sewers and lose the cops. Then you're just one casual drive away from making another bunch of cash. I highly recommend getting bulletproof tires for your getaway cars on this approach, and whilst you are spending that 10k per car, why not go big and get the 15k upgrade that laos makes the cars go much faster.

10: Tips and tricks

So in this section (which I will probably expand with additional tips, feel free to leave some in the comments) I'll go over some of the things I didn't mention that may save some effort or time when doing this heist.
  • You can lose the cops by going into the back of your Terrorbyte if you aren't carrying any equipment (useful during the untraceable weapon mission with the Noose van)

That about covers it for this heist. This has unexpectedly been quite the project for me, it took me 3 days of writing here and there and getting screenshots, so leaving a smol updoot would be appreciated. If you have any questions, of course feel free to leave a comment, I'll try my best to read every single one of them :)
Happy heisting! (and may your sessions be free of griefers!)

Confused about the GTA Online timeline (Contains Spoilers for GTA V)

So, I recently returned to the game and got into GTA Online after having played it a single month all the way back in 2015, understandably a lot of things were considerably different XD
It is to my understanding that the events on GTA Online transpire before or at most during the singpleplayer events of GTA V, or at least that was with the original Online content. But since 2015 or so, the events in Online take place as per the year in which they are released. This I have no problem with, in fact I find it quite interesting and I want to experience it. The problem is that I don't know in which order should I tackle the missions or at least which I should save for the very end in order to not disrupt the chronological experience.
For example, one of the first missions I went to was from Lester and resulted in the introduction of the casino heist, starting with Lester mentioning that he already did the Union Depository, the FIB, the AAI, etc. And... well I think I kinda screwd myself over already in regards to enjoying it chronologically XD I suppose I can just ignore this mission and the related SMSs until I get to it, but it would be desirable to avoid doing something like this again.

So, is there any soft or hard chronology of missions I should respect if I want to experience the game chronologically?

Interpreting Madam Nazar's Sayings

Thanks to u/Kaimeera for posting all of the voice lines
Here is every Madam Nazar voice line and my own/generally accepted interpretation of each one. With so many easter eggs packed into one cabinet, I believe this is Rockstar's biggest "hint dump" yet, and a clear indication they haven't given up on us mystery hunters.
If I am wrong on anything or you know one I missed please let me know in the comments.

Don't forget this isn't the first fortune teller in GTAV, as Michael, Trevor and Franklin can use the Psychic Shoutout website in story mode.

30/7/20 Weekly GTA Online Bonuses + Meeting The New Moderators And Reviewing The Rules:

Here is the link to the weekly GTA Online Bonuses:
Hi, it's your new neighborhood moderator u/7DeadlyFetishes, along with u/CausticPenguino, u/PapaXan, u/Dan6erbond, u/Tonan, u/Brooksy925, and u/LesterCrestBot! Over the pass few days we've been fine tuning the bot for faster and easier moderation, and taking a more active role in community content curation.
We're making this announcement post both to introduce the new mods to the community but also outline the moderation discipline that we'll be enforcing, and we encourage you all to follow along so that our rules can be universally understood by all. The more informed you are on rules, and less likely your going to have to deal with us!
Rule 1 - Overused Content And Content Relevancy
From here on out Rule 1 will be the most strictly enforced rule, given that reason us mods were invited to join the team in the first place was the rapid amount of content flooding gtaonline, with most of those submissions relying on overused memes, discussions topics, and questions.
Below is a list of common submissions and topics that are now banned from the discussion space on gtaonline, this list is vast and very broad right now given the state the of subreddit, but we'll probably unban and/or loosen our grip on memes and topics as time goes on, but that's only if users like you bring a new angle or discussion point when it comes to a particular subject.

-Rule 1 Continued - Content Submissions That Will Result in Immediate Removal:
-Discussions related to the Oppressor often fall into two camps, where one group likes it because it helps grinders, and the other group despise it for it's toxic nature. for two straight years that has been the discussion about the Oppressor, and we doubt that the range of conversation related to the vehicle is going to be expanding anytime soon.

-Hating tryhards and greifers is equivalent to hating people who kick very small, fragile, cute animals. It's not a controversial position to dislike toxic individuals, and if anything, the relentless whining and complaining around these players only emboldens them more to just to get a reaction out of you chumps. This also extends to K/D ratio and EWO.

-If this subbreddit was developer supported like the likes of FortNiteBR, where the devs can talk and communicate with the community about ideas for the game or improving issues with the game, then this complaining wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately that is not the case, and whining about expensive prices for vehicles and properties is some secret plot to sell more Sharkcards is a reasonable observation but falls on deaf ears. No one at Rockstar is getting owned by your epic may-may about how the servers are trash, so save your breath and avoid the ban.

-Y'all know who I'm talking about, no amount of trolling, petitions, or stupid memes is going to make him go away. Most if not all of his base of viewers are not subscribed, they're casual watchers who probably are not deeply invested in GTA Online like the rest of us, so there's not much one can do to prevent him from accruing views besides NOT giving him any attention. Remember that there's no such thing as bad publicity.

-Let's get the record straight, while it's true that Rockstar sees the potential of GTA Online for the cash cow that it is; that doesn't necessarily correlate with the fact that GTA 6 hasn't been announced yet for the next generation. RDR2 was released just nearly 2 years ago, and game development is more complex then ever before. The reason why Rockstar was able to deliver yearly games was the fact that 3 of the 5 console releases of GTA were running on the same engine, from 2001. The GTA 6 discourse is less "discussion" and more "hate-jerking," therefore we see the topic as invaluable clutter discussion.

-Finally in a list too large to cover in detail, here is an album of 30 unique images and submissions that have been circulated on the subreddit since it's inception. These memes are been beaten to death like our good friend Johnny Klebitz at the beginning of Trevor's story arc. A general rule of thumb for interested posters in our subreddit: If you see a gta meme on a platform that is not reddit, there's a 110% percent chance that meme has already been featured on gtaonline.

-Rule 1 Continued - Discussion Topics And Ideas That Will be Removed Immediately:
-Similar to the ban list above, many users on this subreddit love to engage in brain storming new ideas for the game, and while we actively encourage community engagement, this roundup of ideas and discussion topics have been done to death, and therefore we'll be seeking action to take them down.

-Won't happen.

-The Rockstar Games studio doens't have a big red flashing button on the wall that says, "Release GTA 5 Single Player DLC," content like that takes an entire studio to developm it's pipe dreams.

-Many missions both in story mode and in online take place, under, inside, and on top of the tower, and while it wouldn't be impossible for Rockstar to remove these missions, the simple truth of the matter is that Rockstar wanted a construction set piece in Los Santos, it was never meant to be finished. Besides, in game story lore states that the tower wasn't being built fast enough because construction was purposely trying to get contract extensions to get more money out of the investors.

-Won't happen.

-Won't happen.

-Rockstar has stated multiple times that the what makes a GTA game a GTA game is the dynamic of criminal versus police, cops and robbers, and much less a cops and robbers DLC was explicitly stated by Rockstar to never happen because it conflicts with the core dynamic of the game.

-I'm unaware of how large GTA Online's dev team is; but it most certainly isn't large enough to add an entire fucking map to a 7 year old game, much less an online game. These are not realistic suggestions, it's all just the community hyping itself up for speculation, which is not valuable discussion.

-Fun ideas for sure, but these have been suggested multiple times, and will probably never occur.

-So help me god if one of you neanderthals suggest this fucking idea again i'll personally find you and rip off your head and shit down your neck. Either spin the wheel and remember when you spun it or not spin it at all because the sheer volume of these posts vastly surmount that of actual change on Rockstar's end of the bargain.

-Rockstar has never even dabbled with servers dynamics before, what makes you think that they're going to change that now?

In Summary of The Rule 1 Discipline
-To round off the what the Mod Discipline will be for rule 1, if you don't want your posts removed or even for you to get banned, just use a little more brain power than what your using right now. There's plenty to talk about the game without having to conform to broad community topics.

Rule 2 - Be Respectful
-This is as simple as it comes, but it has to be stated, don't be a dick to other users on the subreddit. If for example you see someone posting a picture of the new car they won at the podium wheel, don't write a 5 paragraph essay on why they should have been aborted for posting their lucky break at the casino wheel. Instead, just report it and move on. And if you see anyone else giving another a hard time, do your duty and report toxic users, this is a safe community and we want to celebrate GTA Online for everyone, not scare people away for pedantic reasons.

Rule 3 - Use Appropriate Flair
-Use the correct flair, we never had a problem with it before, so lets keep it that way.

Rule 4 - Use Descriptive Titles
-Many of the posts that we have to moderate come in the form of questions, many of these question often lack any direction whatsoever, "Best Business?" or "How to do Casino Heist" leave lots to the imagination, and likewise people who are googling answers to their GTA Online inquiries also benefit from descriptive Reddit titles. In short, make good titles, otherwise your post is out.

Rule 5 - Suggestion Posts
-Suggestion posts must contain some initial discussion by the OP, preferably in the form of a text post. Images can be linked in the post content but cannot comprise the entirety of your post. "DAE want this vehicle" posts should be posted as comments in the Weekly Simple Question thread.

Rule 6 - No Promotion of Cheating
-Active promotion of cheating (the deliberate use of cheats, hacks, mods, exploits, glitches, and other methods to gain an unfair advantage over other players or at the expense of other players' right to a fair game experience) will result in a permanent ban. No asking for modded money or for help regarding cheating. Admissions of cheating may be removed at the moderators' discretion. Purely cosmetic glitches that do not affect other players are allowed.

Rule 7 - No Heist Recruitment
-Cream of the crop can be found here.

Rule 8 - Youtube Content
-Read this post to understand what types of YouTube content are allowed to be posted.

Rule 9 - "Looking For Players" Posts Should Include Relevant Information
-LFP posts should include platform information, in-game name, timezone, and other information where applicable.

Rule 10 - Questions Better Suited For The FAQ
-Do not make a post just to ask questions about the following topics:
These types of questions must be posted in the Weekly Question Thread.

Rule 11 - Moderation Discretion
-Moderators reserve the right to approve, remove, lock or otherwise deal with any post or comment at our discretion. Moderators reserve the right to ban users at our discretion. Rules are enforced according to their spirit and not their letter. Users are welcome to appeal moderator actions with respectful arguments, but moderators have the final say in how rules are interpreted and actions carried out.

Closing Remarks
-We have long road ahead of us, so if we're going to make the subreddit a better place it requires a strong mod/user relationship, as the moderators, we're going to use every tool at our disposal to make sure that all the content on the subreddit is informative and enjoyable, and you dear user have the responsibility of reporting questionable content and making quality posts. Together we can make this subreddit a better place, and with a new update over the horizon there's no other better place for information, memes and the community than gtaonline!

Hey guys! I will be taking over the duties of the MEGA Guide and Wiki from now on. It's time to do some updating! Yay!

A reminder to all the people asking questions NOT in the MEGA-Guide - Please ask the questions in the MEGA Guide.
If you've come here lost looking for the MEGA Guide, look no further!

How is this game so riddled with bugs after 6 years? It's time something is done about it

I know this post is long (sorry) but I'm genuinely interested to see how many people are in the same boat and what people's thoughts are.
I recently started playing GTA Online again about 6-8 weeks ago. I had not played since the original heists were released, I think I stopped playing around the time the Zentorino was released as most of my friends stopped playing I became bored of playing alone.
As someone who has come back to the game with all of this new content (MC Businesses, New Heists and Casino etc) I got back into playing quite a lot (Probably at least 200 hours+) and was excited to buy all the businesses and make loads of money and buy new content and stuff. Even playing alone I started I really enjoy myself.
So it's now 6-8 weeks later and I've encountered SO many bugs. So many bugs that it's actually making me want to stop playing again because it's just ruining the enjoyment of the game. Here are some of the big problems I've had in this short space of time:

What really seems to baffle me the most is that I see videos shared on Discord, Youtube and other places with people sharing exploits online. Things such as how to rig the wheel or glitch out a heist to be able to replay last mission etc. This stuff gets instantly patched?! For some reason, Rockstar doesn't want people to win a car every time from the wheel. A car that you can't sell for money or gain more than once and still requires upgrading, doesn't really benefit anyone much. Yet they won't fix an ongoing glitch which literally renders the nightclub useless? A glitch that's been around since release.
So again I have to ask. What is Rockstar doing? Feels like all they care about is releasing new cars. Their customer support appears to be awful and the game is RIDDLED with bugs. At least that's my experience anyway. What's everyone else's opinion? It's time something is done about all the problems surely.

TL;DR - The game is full of bugs that have been around for quite literally years, yet Rockstar is not doing anything about it and is prioritizing releasing things like cars. Their customer support is awful/non-existant and surely it's time something is done about it?!

August Events! August 24

Hi all, As promised here is my announcement of my next event. It’s going to be one long event made up of three smaller events. All events happen on the 24th!
Heists!
When: Saturday August 24 at 9:00 AM Pacific/Noon Eastern/5 PM UTC. We will launch at that time with or without you so please be sure to online and available to join the host session up-to 15 mins prior to the event’s start time!. Invitations into the host session will be sent up to the last three minutes until we launch. If you have not received an invitation by 10 minutes prior to the events start time, please reach out to the host via PSN PM, to make the host aware of your presence. Yes this includes even those those on my friends list! Event will be canceled by 9:10 AM Pacific time if we fail to have anyone attend.
Where: We will meet at Garagedwella’s Penthouse at the casino, make sure I’ve got you added as a friend(be sure to mention you're from our crew in the invite) or that your active in any GTA Online session with our crew set as your active crew. I will be able to send you invites to bring you into my session. Doomsday heist setups are done in the open online world so you will need to be in the same session as me if we do any of them!
What’s happening: We are going to do a heist (or two)! Exact heist TBD
Event description/notes: This event is limited to a max of four, if interested please mention so in a comment below so I can know who’s coming! If I’m unable to fill all four slots with crew mates I may at my discretion open the party to allow random players to join us to fill any vacancies. Please be sure to have a working mic! Communication is key in these heists! Please be sure you have max ammo, vests and snacks prior to the event. Please make sure you have suitable transport (amour may be useful here if you can balance it with something that can do a decent speed) as heists regularly require players to traverse (or fly!) long distances across Los Santos and Blaine County! Event duration is open ended.
Car and Plane Show! Where: Devon Weston Hanger , private session (session invites required) When: 1:00 PM Pacific/4:00 PM Eastern/9:00 Eastern, event will run 1 hour! What’s happening: come show off your coolest cars and planes! Event Details/Notes: Cars will be inside the hanger against the wall, planes will be in the center of the hanger, any overflow, large planes/vehicles will be staged directly outside the hanger in manner that will allow smaller planes and cars to safely enter and depart from inside the hanger. If your aircraft or vehicle is armed with weapons, please make sure weapons are set to machine gun so we don’t have any friendly fire rockets launched during aircraft and vehicle movements!
Live ATC! When: 2:00 PM Pacific/5:00 PM Eastern/10:00 PM UTC. Canceled if no attendance by 2:10 PM Pacific time. Where: LSIA. What’s happening: Live air traffic control provided on a rotation basis by your crew mates! Event details/notes: The AiCar Show event will roll directly into this event, please try to attend both of your able to! You must have a working Mic to take part event, we are striving for realism so all Readback is required when interacting with someone playing the role of a controller! Listen to and communicate any issues with the current ATC controller, failure to do so will result in a Pilot Deviation Report which may affect your ability to participate in Live ATC future events!
IMPORTANT: We will be using a non standard chart (not the ones in the sidebar of our sub.) Please be sure to familiarize yourself with these charts prior to the start of the event in addition to having access to them via a nearby laptop or smartphone for reference during the event! Event will run up-to 90 mins with controller changes every 30 mins. If we have enough people playing we will have separate party chats set up each hosted by a current controller preforming that specific task. We may up to 5 controller working as Fort Zancudo (all functions) LSIA Tower, approach/Departure/Clearance, (May make these separate) and Ground, and General ATC for the sector (for aircraft not in the immediate controlled airspace of airport.
PLEASE NOTE: The following changes and restrictions; 1. Military aircraft may use all airports except Grapeseed. 2. Non Military aircraft are forbidden at Fort Zancudo, with the exception of true emergencies (Sandy Shores is close by so if you you should make landing there a priority over Zancudo unless extreme circumstances prevent you from safely reaching Sandy Shores, Grapeseed or LSIA. non military aircraft may not enter the Fort Zacudo No Fly Zone. This zone is defined as follows; the base side of the summit of the mountain range beyond the treatment plant adjacent to Fort Zacudo, East road following the edge of the slough from the main gate (on the base side of the slough) to the ocean. 10,000 feet from the approach end of the runway over the ocean. Aircraft may overfly the base at heights exceeding 5,000 feet provided they are not interfering with the approach or departure corridors of the bases runways. civilian aircraft/vehicles may enter Fort Zacudo to retrieve aircraft from thier Private Hanger with prior notice given to ATC/Base Command 3. Use of Grapeseed is restricted to small prop only aircraft and Helicopters. 4. Sandy Shores and Grapeseed are uncontrolled, call outs should be made as normal when approaching/departing/making ground movements. These call outs should be made on the General ATC party chat, as you will need to reach out to this controller to coordinate clearances to your destination. ATC will not aknowledge your call out unless you address them as you are at an uncontrolled airport, however should you contact/be contacted by ATC, you will required to readback instruction given to you such as a clearence. 5. ATIS Service is not provided, however you may ask your current controller for weather reports, and PIREP’s. 6. For the charts the airports listed as Jetsam, and Docks are not going to be used so disregard those pages. Also the Pier 1 RNAV will not be used so please also disregard that page! 7. The number of controllers and party chats will scale according to workload of the controllers. Fewer pilots in attendance will mean fewer ATC staff, who will cover multiple roles (All LSIA functions. Or another example is a single controller may handle the entire air traffic duties of the session if it’s just three or four people flying, and we only use game chat and no party chats.) 8. The phonetic military alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, etc.) will be in use, learn it now and be prepared to use it! 9. All airspace and ground movement are controlled, with the exception of Sandy Shores and Grapeseed. You should always be in contact with an ATC controller regardless of flight level if you are moving outside of these two exempted airports! Failure to do so may result in the military interception. In the event of this happening you are required to follow the direction of a Los Santos Civil Air Patrol aircraft or any military Aircraft under the active orders of the Military or ATC. The use of lethal force is authorized, when required by a clear and immanent threat that is posed by a non complaint aircraft to other aircraft or civilians in the air or on the ground. These is especially important should you violate the no fly zone surrounding Fort Zacudo!. A briefing on these procedures will be given to all in attendance at the beginning of the event. Further instructions will be given those who will rotate though as ATC or Military officials. Do not take being intercepted or being shot down lightly, it means you seriously screwed up both as a pilot and as a crew mate of Aviators of GTA! You can bank on sanctions being placed on your ability to participate in future crew events, or in the crew period!
Ground vehicles must use the marked and dedicated vehicle roadways at LSIA, don’t ever leave the aprons and enter the active runways or areas (grass) directly next to a runway without explicit permission from the tower controller at LSIA. Ground vehicles must yield to all aircraft in motion at all airfields! 10. All aircraft are welcome, except hoverbikes/cars. The host and ATC reserves the right to request you change aircraft, limit or forbid any aircraft of their choosing at any time to maintain realism. Failure to change aircraft when requested to do so in a reasonable time frame, will result in your removal from the session and repeated issues caused by a member at any event may affect their privileges to attend certain or any and all official (hosted by staff) crew events and furthermore may also jeopardize their membership in Aviators of GTA. 11. Call signs will be discussed at the beginning of the session to decide if we will use random N prefixed(serial numbers), Flight numbers, usernames or a mix of any of the three. 12. The host (Garagedwella) will act as the supervisor of all ATC, and may appoint additional people as supervisors if required just as you would in any FAA controlled tower or center outside of GTA, the Supervisor is there to be a resource to both the ATC staff and the Pilots when things go wrong or if you just feel unsure about something. If you require the Supervisor for any reason and they are out flying, please address them as "Supervisor [Username]" initially over the mic to get their attention. This will distinguish this communication as in internal consultation from an ATC staff member or pilot requiring assistance, over a routine ATC to Pilot (or the other way around) conversation. 13. Should something be destroyed in a manner where a vehicle or aircraft remains fouls a runway or taxiway with FOD (Foreign Object Debris). Notify ATC ASAP about the hazard and remove it ASAP before resuming flying activities! 14. This session will not be devoid of NPC (Non Player Controlled) Aircraft. This includes landing and taking off from airfields and taxiing. It is the player responsibility to be alert and call out any known hazards over frequency to alert controllers and pilots. NPC will not appear on Radar for controllers so if you are unable to comply with instructions given by ATC report so over frequency and advise ATC as to why.
TLDR; Listen to what we (staff and ATC) say and nobody gets hurt. There is a refresher on Session Etiquette and ATC instructions under the "Read Before Flying W/ ATC" section of the sidebar.
Hope to see you all at the events! Please comment below or reach out to me via private message if you have any questions regarding these three events!

The Definitive GTA V story DLC (Theory)

Assuming "The Third Way" is canon Obvious Spoiler is Obvious and ignored from this point forward. Here is my theory, Both San Fierro and Las Venturas will be added to the current map and to GTA Online complete with shops there own minigames which is the reason the Story DLC has taken so long.
As far as the story goes Each protagonist will be dealing with there own problems and will only cross paths with the other GTA V protagonists rarely.
Franklin will be caught between 2 worlds (for real this time unlike the original game). Lamar wants to get the Fourm Gangsters poppin and start making big moves in the city (gang wars, drug deals, street racing the works). This is counter balanced by the now 30 year old Luis Lopez, sent out west by Gay Tony to supervise Bahama Mamas West and newly finished Mile High Club, who has taken an interest in Franklin. Seeing a lot of himself in him (night clubs, celebrities, property management). Both Lamar and Luis will be switches during some of Franklin's missions and at some points he'll have to choose one or the other. Luis' special ability would be his psycho mode, similar to Trevor's but the more damage he takes the more he can dish out. Lamar's ability would be his Apache blood which would allow him to slow down time like Michael but instead of shooting he would move faster to dodge bullets.
Trevor's story would take place mainly in the newly opened San Fierro. Angus (from TLAD) would approch and try to kill Trevor, only to fail miserably. At that moment the Original Angels of Death come for Angus and to wipe out the rest of the lost Trevor has already crippled. Uncharacteristically or characteristically, depending on who you ask, Trevor sees himself in Angus after he thought Michael was killed and fuses the remainder of the Lost with TPI and becomes the de facto leader. His gameplay would consist of more biker gang stuff we love combined with various drug deals all to finish off the Angels of death and become the undisputed kings of San Andreas north to south. Depending on choices he can even work with Franklin and Lamar's Fourm Gangsters.
Michael on the other hand is enjoying he loving family, freedom from the FIB and movie producer lifestyle. Everything is going fine until Karen Daniels (Michelle) shows up at his door and says he own his country some favors after all the trouble he cause the IAA for the FIB. His missions would mostly be Splinter Cell esque crap featuring 2 new switchable characters, the mysterious Jeff or Agent 14 from heists and Karen's top agent... Nico Bellic. While Jeff stresses to Michael to just do as he's told and we'll all make it out, Nico tells Michael that doing as your told does not always yield the best results.
This would all come together while a Casino heist in Las Venturas involving all characters in an Ocean's 11 type way. Who will live? Who will die? Find out by purchasing the new Story DLC: Grand Theft Auto V: Friends and Enemies, only 40 US dollars.
EDIT: Thanks for all the support Guys if anyone has there own Ideas or changes to mine I'd love to hear Them!

What locations would you want to see in the next GTA game. What would the storyline/theme look like?

Which cities would you like to see in GTA's future?
I have a couple cities/extensions that I'd love to see Rockstar add.
San Francisco.
I'd love to see San Fierro make a comeback, in more detail, with a slightly modern twist, (or a mid 90s to mid 2000s twist). A laid back, northern California vibe. A lot of focus on the Bay Area. I'd love to see smaller surrounding cities like Oakland, Berkeley, San Mateo, Palo Alto, Fremont, and San Jose added, too. It'd be cool to see Rockstar's take on iconic surrounding areas like Silicon Valley, and the likes. Although San Fierro is part of San Andreas, I think it's a city big enough, at least culturally speaking, to warrant it's own game, similar to Los Santos. If Rockstar was really feeling adventurous, they could extend the map way out east to include Yosemite, or as far up north to include Sacramento.
Las Vegas
I'm getting the obvious cities out of the way first. I'd like to see Las Venturas return as well. Preferably as it's own title game. Maybe with a late 80's to mid 90's theme going on. Think Ocean's eleven. Big casino heists, huge emphasis on gambling and casino games with other people online. 8-man heists, huge takes, vice, and unconventional sights. Think mob controlled Vegas. Doing work for wealthy mob-connected families in Vegas giving you orders poolside in their mansions in their pajamas robes smoking cigars! The map could extend to Arizona and include great sights like the Grand Canyon. Rockstar should also try to find a way to remove Las Venturas from San Andreas (that always confused me).
New Jersey
This would be a great city to include in any upcoming GTA game. Maybe Early 90's. Think Sopranos. Revisiting that east coast Mafia theme from GTA 3. The game could include places like Atlantic City revolving around a slightly smaller gambling culture, albeit still there -- plenty of opportunity for storyline there. Newark, and New Jersey City - corrupt politicians, mob bosses, crime, and even opportunity to tie the storyline into nearby Liberty City! Since the state is so small, you could even include cities like Trenton.
Chicago
I'd love to see this city added in. It's the only city next to NYC that I think could revisit that busy city hustle and bustle vibe. Picturesque skyline. Include wealthy north Chicago suburbs, include a lake and harbor culture along Lake Michigan and Lake Shore Drive, include heavy gang culture in south and west side Chicago, you could even include western Chicagoland suburbs as well. This would make a great location somewhere down along the line.
GTA V extension - Orange County/ San Diego
I'd love to see a game based in southern California really feel like a game based in Southern California. Los Angeles is obviously integral in that, but what about orange county? The map should extend further down south. Include wealth, seaside resort beach cities like Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and Dana point. Perhaps even inland to include big cities like Anahaim or Aliso Viejo.
San Diego would've been nice to include as well. I think the city could be integrated into a GTA series one of two ways:
a.) It could be part of a GTA V extension, which would REALLY be pushing the limits, along with Orange County.
b.) It could be included in it's own title. San Diego as it's own city with locations inland featured as well, along with a much anticipated inclusion of Mexico. There'd be no excuse not to include Mexico if San Diego was ever included in a GTA game! This would be amazing. Think Miami, but west coast. Think Mexican Cartel drug cartels.
Miami
This is another obvious one. We should add a modern twist to it, though. Revisiting Vice City with an 80s theme again would be overkill, in my opinion. I'd like to see modern day elements included. A Cuban cocaine/drug smuggling culture, nightclubs, exorbitant wealth, displays of new money, yachts, beaches. The map would have to be extended into surrounding cities as Miami would be too small to include by itself in a modern day GTA game. What did I have in mind? An extension to cities up north like Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville. to the west, include a natural scenic spot - like the Everglades national park (swamps!) and cities like Tampa (including the bay) or Sarasota. So the south, you could include the Florida Keys (islands connected by small, narrow highways)
Washington D.C.
For some reason, I REALLY want to see this city included. It honestly feels like it'd make a great location for a GTA game, just because of all the cultural content that could be packed into the game. Modern twist and time period for sure. Imagine House of Cards. Doing work for corrupt politicians, political scandals, big government agencies, the feds. It'd be a great opportunity to finally include a president of the GTA universe's president of the U.S. Think of the amount of satire, jokes, and references Rockstar could address in a game like this. It would be a goldmine for sure. Rockstar would have to be careful about the political lines they decide to cross, but it'd be amazing. The map could include the national mall, of course, but also surrounding areas and cities like Baltimore, Maryland, since it's so close, and even Virginia, for a nice suburban portion of the map, or even Delaware for rural.
Philadelphia
Another great choice for a big city with unique areas of it's own. Great second choice to Chicago, although I'd be stunned if this was included before Chicago. Because of it's proximity, I'd ideally just include this city in a title game with New Jersey.
Boston
This city could definitely work. A classic American city. Gritty working class crime, wealthy New England elite, and everything in between. Imagine something equestrian. Horse riding, sailing, rowing. Imagine a red-brick city. Irish Crime families. Remember the Irish crime twist in GTA IV? Imagine magnifying that into a game of it's own. McReary crime family. Irish Crime families at war with Italian crime families in Boston. Racketeering, drug trafficking, money laundering and everything else.
Salt Lake City
How neat would it be to have a small city included into a GTA game? Something laid back, but with a small crime element. Imagine finding our protagonist in a location - a snowy location. Think snowy mountain tops, think cabins, think snowmobiles. Maybe we're introduced to a protagonist who's laying low from crime in another major city in the GTA universe (reminiscent of San Andreas). Doing small odd jobs to make a living. A breath of fresh air.
New Mexico
This is my last choice for a location in the U.S. It'd be cool to include a city close to the southern border. Think Breaking Bad. Modern day desert towns, a Spanish element, cactus! Desert living, there's definitely a criminal element down there. Mexican drug cartels, and hot air balloons (Albuquerque). I think that'd be really neat.
My city choices are only limited to places in the U.S. but I'd like to hear locations you guys would be interested in for upcoming GTA titles and what kind of theme would go alone with it (time period, criminal elements, storyline, etc.)?
